Health & Counselling Services

There are several doctors' offices, walk-in clinics, and a hospital in Squamish, including a walk-in clinic located minutes from the campus. A public health nurse is on campus weekly to provide information sessions to students on relevant health and wellness topics, and is available for drop-in counseling and health services.

The transition to university life, including living in residence, in a new environment and coupled with an intense and fast-paced curriculum, can produce stress and anxiety. Professional staff are available to assist students in understanding and resolving the challenges they face in their daily lives and in their academic programs. A clinically oriented psychologist works closely with residence life staff and with professionals in the local community to provide necessary and appropriate services to students, and is available weekly to meet with students individually through appointment or as a drop-in service.
