Understanding the importance of developing and sustaining structures that support student governance, representation, advocacy and information-sharing is a key element of the co-curricular experience at Quest University Canada. With support from faculty and staff, and having studied Democracy and Justice in their first blocks at Quest, student leaders design, implement, and review the form of government appropriate to their needs at Quest.
Student-initiated and operated clubs and groups are encouraged and supported by the University. Typical activities might focus on an outdoor pursuit, an academic interest, a social or environmental concern, a hobby or other recreational pursuit. Active groups currently on campus include EcoQuest - the environmental club; the Footage Heads - the film society; The Spit - the student newspaper; Free the Children - a club focussed on eliminating the global abuse of children; the Adventure Club - the outdoor pursuits club; and the Chess Club.
